On June 1st, 2009, the action-arm of
inSPIRe, the Inspire Activist Network, or IAN, held its first event, a
candidate forum for King County Executive. Over 135 people attended,
including KIRO TV, The Seattle Times,
the West Seattle Blog*,
as well as other media. All four candidates expressed many thanks to inSPIRe, and
indicated that this was the best event they had participated in all year.
